I wanted to send you the attached photos… I was recently in Morocco and was lucky enough to do a a trek in the Sahara. I camped out with some Nomads out near the Algerian border one night (Amazing experience). There was a little girl whose name I was unable to find out, that had never heard music before. So, I introduced her to our wonderful world of sound by hooking her up to my headphones. It was a beautiful moment for the few people who were there to witness it (including the locals). I wanted you to know, as the first song to enter her ears was in fact your very special track, ‘Maria’. The look on her face was something I will never forget. She sat there in an innocent trance and would not let go of the headphones that she held tightly pressed in to her little eardrums. I tried to take one of them out to make sure that the volume wasn’t too loud, but her hands were in the firmest grip and would not let me remove them…Her eyes were wide open with amazement at one point. One of the guys there gently gave her a little push and oblivious to what was going on around her she almost toppled over and still would not let go of the headphones… I get goosebumps now just remembering it. I thought I would share the photos with you, as it was truly a special moment and you were a part of it. :)
